256-sample table

A 256-sample wavetable has frames that are 256 samples long. Several Eurorack wavetable modules use this frame size.

Synthesis Technology's E352 and E370 and the Piston Honda MK3 load banks of 256-sample waves from microSD, and hardware import paths such as the Korg modwave's 16-bit mode expect the same frame length. The compact frames cap each cycle at 128 partials, which suits bright synth tones and simple shapes but limits how detailed a low, harmonically rich frame can be.
