Docs / Nodes

The node library, in outline.

We document the nodes at the category level on purpose. The full, current library lives in the app — add a node and it shows you everything it does. Here is what each family of nodes is for.

Generators

Generators produce the raw frames: classic oscillator shapes, additive harmonic sets, and imported or drawn material. Everything downstream shapes what these produce, frame by frame.

Spectral tools

Spectral tools edit the harmonics of a table — their levels, phases, and the motion between frames — so a table evolves in tone as it sweeps instead of just crossfading.

Modulators & curves

Modulators and curves drive motion. Envelopes, curves, and frame-index sources feed the same graph as audio, which is what lets frame-to-frame movement be designed rather than improvised.

Shapers

Shapers — filters, distortion, mixing, and other transforms — sit in the signal path and reshape the table on the way to the output.

Inspection

Inspection nodes close the loop: waveform, spectrum, harmonics, and phase stay visible while you edit, so a claim made by ear can be checked by eye before export.
