Adventure Kid Waveforms

Adventure Kid Waveforms (AKWF) is Kristoffer Ekstrand's free, public-domain library of several thousand single-cycle waveforms, distributed as WAV files for samplers and wavetable synthesizers.

The original pack is famously quirky in a useful way: every waveform is 600 samples long, a size chosen for the author's own tools, and community conversions resize them to 256, 512, 1024, or 2048 samples for nearly every imaginable target. AKWF has become default raw material for testing wavetable imports and for quick custom tables — one reason so many import guides mention it by name.
