How to import wavetables into Electra 3
Tone2Software synthVerified
No — you cannot import wavetables into Electra 3.
In short: Imports waveforms, not wavetables — built-in tables only.
Read on for what the documentation actually says, the closest thing to a custom table this instrument offers, and where a Hyperwave export can go instead.
What Electra 3 expects
No user wavetable import. Custom Wave loads single-cycle .wav waveforms (files under 4,096 samples are treated as single cycles; longer files are resynthesized from the middle section) — but wavetables remain built-in only, unlike Icarus.
Can you import wavetables into Electra 3 at all?
No — Electra 3 cannot import wavetables. The wavetables are built in; there is no user wavetable import of any kind, unlike Tone2's own Icarus 2, which loads packed Serum-format WAVs.
What you can import is single-cycle waveforms: Custom Wave loads .wav files, and files under 4,096 samples are treated as single cycles. Export a single frame from Hyperwave as a one-cycle WAV and load it as a custom waveform — you get one static shape, not a morphing table.
For full user wavetables in a Tone2 instrument, Icarus 2 is the one that imports them.
