Hyperwave— wavetable generator with a node graph

Draw, patch, and export wavetables for Serum, Vital, and hardware synths.

Hyperwave runs entirely in your browser: connect generators, transforms, and modulators on a node graph, inspect every frame, and export packed WAVs for the synths you already own.

Answers / before you start

Wavetable questions, answered.

01Is Hyperwave free?

Yes. Hyperwave Web is free today: build wavetables on the node graph, preview them while you work, keep presets locally, and export finished tables — all in the browser.

02Do I need an account?

No. Hyperwave runs without an account or sign-in — open the site and start patching, and your presets stay local on your machine.

03Which synths can load Hyperwave wavetables?

Hyperwave exports packed-WAV wavetables that load into software synths — verified against manufacturer documentation for Serum, Serum 2, Vital, Pigments, Phase Plant, DUNE 3, Surge XT, Wavetable (Live), Icarus 2, Avenger, Hive 2, Sampler (Bitwig Studio), modwave native, UVI Falcon, HALion 7, Vaporizer2, SynthMaster (2 / One / 3), Codex, Electra 3 — and into hardware and Eurorack targets through their own import tools. The export formats reference lists every target with its import details and verification status.

04What wavetable formats does it export?

Hyperwave writes packed-WAV files: mono (1-channel), 32-bit float by default — the layout Serum and Vital import — or 16-bit WAV for the classic hardware banks. Device presets size the frames for each target, and collections render every preset locally and bundle the WAVs into a zip.

05Can I make a wavetable from a sample?

Yes. The import node decodes WAV and Apple Lossless files (.wav, .m4a, .caf, .alac) in the browser, mixes them to mono, and slices them into wavetable frames you can keep shaping with the rest of the graph.

06Does it work for hardware synths like Blofeld or Peak?

Yes, through each instrument's own import tool. The Waldorf Blofeld imports WAV files (32–4,096 samples per wave) through Waldorf's software; the Novation Peak and Summit import audio through the Components wavetable editor. Exports are float32 by default and 16-bit WAV directly for the Eurorack targets (E352/E370, Piston Honda MK3, Pro 3), and device presets size the table for each destination — the export formats reference spells out each case.

07What makes this different from another wavetable editor?

Hyperwave is built around a readable node graph with immediate visual and audio feedback, so you can see and hear what each decision changes.
