# Privacy and data handling

## Browser editing and local files

Hyperwave's Web editor generates, processes, previews, and exports wavetable audio in your browser. Local presets and editor settings are stored on your device. Choosing a file for the converter or inspector processes it in the browser; it does not send that audio to the public agent API. Clear site data through your browser to remove browser-stored information, and keep your own copies of presets and exported files you want to retain.

## Accounts and optional cloud features

Using the Web editor does not require an account. If you use account features, authentication processes account details and uses browser session cookies. Cloud features, when available and used, send the presets and related data you choose to save to server-side storage. Account and cloud access are separate from the anonymous public documentation and calculation tools. Signing out ends browser access to your account; it does not itself delete server-side account data.

## Analytics and diagnostics

When the approved analytics configuration is enabled, Hyperwave records structural events such as a successful export, its frame dimensions, and the kind of node created. The analytics adapter excludes user-authored names, filenames, document content, and graph content from those event properties. Automatic capture, analytics persistence, person profiles, and session recording are disabled in the implementation. Explicit diagnostics are separate, one-shot operations. Hosting and service infrastructure may process technical request information to serve and operate the site.

## Public developer tools

Documentation search, format lookup, and frame-size calculations are public and anonymous. Their handlers do not save request bodies or access user accounts, cloud presets, or local files. REST quotas use transient hashed-client counters held within each server process. Questions and parameters are sent to the server when you invoke an HTTP or MCP tool; infrastructure may retain operational request logs. Use public product questions and calculation inputs rather than private project material. The NLWeb retrieval service does not create conversational memory or send questions to an LLM.

## Contact about data

Contact Kaj Loevesijn at roguefortdevelopment@gmail.com for questions about data handling or to request help with account data. An email enquiry contains the address and information you send through your email provider. Include enough context to identify your request, and keep passwords, credentials, and unrelated private files out of your message. This page describes the current product's data flows; service availability and account controls are documented in the product.
